Scam Alert – Fake ‘Account Block’ Texts
Scammers are sending texts that look like Latitude alerts. They may say your account is frozen and ask you to call a number. Do NOT share OTPs or personal details. Our official number is +61 1300 305 884. Alternatively, you can contact the number listed on the back of your physical Latitude card or use the number listed on this website.
Example of a fake Latitude text:

These messages contain a fraudulent number where you will be asked to provide an OTP. Do not contact this number and do not share any information if prompted. Beware as these text messages usually call for an immediate call for action to ‘secure’ your account, when in reality, it is used to compormise your details.
Scam Alert – Fake “Latitude Protect” Messages
We’ve been made aware of scam text messages claiming to be from “Latitude Protect” and referencing a purchase at a merchant. These messages ask you to reply with ‘N’ if the purchase wasn’t yours. They then contact you and phish for One-Time Passwords.

Beware of branded Phishing emails and texts
Texts and emails disguised as merchants you may legitimately deal with, could be fraudulent (examples below).

Emails and texts shown below contain fake phone numbers, these are operated by scammers who impersonate the company you legitimately deal with. Reference the number you are provider with the number from their genuine communications.

Rule of thumb: If you receive a link or phone number prompting urgency, delete and do not follow the instructions. Instead, call the company using their official website or product (eg. Number on the back of your bank card).
