After graduating with an MSc in Operational Research in the UK, Tim’s career began in 1986 with the fledgling Experian company (formerly known as CCN) where he started building credit scorecards. With the expansion of Experian he moved to Australia in support of established Australian clients and the development of the New Zealand and Asian markets. His early clients included ARFS (Australian Retail Financial Services) which was subsequently acquired by GE.
After 10 years as a supplier/consultant with Experian in multiple markets, Tim joined the NAB as global head of retail credit to lead its transition to statistical portfolio management. He then had the opportunity to join the consumer finance business as head of portfolio management with P&L accountability for credit cards and personal loans. Tim concluded his time at NAB as GM retail credit having supported the bank in achieving advanced Basel accreditation for retail.
In 2008 Tim joined the ANZ Bank, initially as head of risk for the consumer finance division and subsequently as head of credit risk for consumer finance, small business and Esanda.
Tim joined GE Capital (now Latitude Financial Services) as the Chief Risk Officer – consumer in April 2014.
