Interest free shopping made easier with Latitude GO

Latitude Financial today announced major enhancements to its Latitude GO Mastercard® card, including six-months interest free on everyday transactions and a reduced interest rate of 19.95% on credit card purchases.

Latitude GO customers will be able to turn everyday transactions above $250 into a six-month interest free plan anywhere Mastercard is accepted globally, complementing the range of longer-term plans that are already available for larger purchases.

“Over the past decade, millions of Australians have taken advantage of Latitude GO’s longer-term interest free plans for larger purchases, including the highly successful ‘up to 60 months interest free’ promotion at Australia’s leading retailers,” said Latitude Managing Director and CEO Ahmed Fahour.

“The introduction of a six-month plan for smaller purchases will massively expand the reach of interest free, making interest free shopping even more accessible for Latitude GO customers,” he said.

“In the past, shoppers would have to use different payment options for different transaction sizes to benefit from interest free. Now, Latitude GO customers will be able to shop interest free for both small and large purchases, seamlessly on the one digital or physical card.”

Other enhancements include:

• Instalments Anywhere: the convenience to combine or ‘stack’ multiple purchases into a single, longer-term interest free plan with monthly payments
  
  
• Exclusive digital shopping offers and retail discounts tailored for GO customers
  
  
• A reduction in the purchase rate to 19.95% in April 2021
  
  
• Removal of the $25 account establishment fee for new customers and no annual card fee.

The Instalments Anywhere feature will be rolled out in the second half of 2021. Similar enhancements, including a 19.95% purchase rate, will also be introduced for Latitude Gem.

The account service fee for Latitude GO will change to $9.95 per month at the same time as the new purchase rate is introduced and the $25 establishment fee is removed.

Latitude has more than 2.7 million customer accounts and 4000 retail partners, including Australia and New Zealand’s biggest brands.
